About the Newton AycliffeFamily History Society

The Society was formed in 1994 initially to cover family history research in the Newton Aycliffe area.

While this is still true, our current members are searching for family connections not only within the UK but from Australia to the USA - and all points inbetween!

Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month (except for December) at which we either host a guest speaker or hold our own research "surgery" evenings.

Membership of the Society is necessary to take full advantage of our web site and other benefits. These benefits include attendence at our monthly meetings and guidance for your own family research.

No fee is necessary to contact  an individual member via the web site. Membership fees at the moment are £10.00 per individual per year or £15.00 per family per year. Membership may be applied for on-line.

The current Chairman is Keith Bell and he may be contacted via the web site message board.

Visitors to our site are advised that we are still in the early stages of creating the various pages and links. The development of the site will be a continuous process.

NAFHS gratefully acknowledge the support of CAVOS in the funding of this web site.
